It was a great privilege to deliver a ten-minute presentation to all the members and visitors of the BNI Granta chapter this week. We covered the new landlords electrical safety testing regulations which are set to come into force on 1 July this year, making it compulsory for all landlords and letting agents to be fully compliant. Until now, such electrical safety testing has been mandatory for Houses in Multiple Occupation (HMOs) but only recommended for all other rental properties. That is all set to change on 1 July, and we are spreading the word to assist landlords and letting agents in meeting their obligations.
We captured the entire presentation on video because we believe that this is an important area of electrical safety testing which will help to keep tenants across the UK safe regardless of the nature of the property they are renting.
