As Mark Smith, owner of MS Electrical, reveals, achieving accreditation is challenging. “To become an accredited SafeContractor we had to pass a detailed desktop audit,” explains Mark. “The process starts with a comprehensive questionnaire, which automatically adapts to the size of your business and your areas of work. Once you’ve submitted your questionnaire, an auditor decides whether your risk management processes are satisfactory and sufficient for your work activities. Once you pass, you become an accredited SafeContractor and receive an accreditation certificate. We’re very proud to be accredited as we believe it’s one of the best indications that we’re operating in the most professional manner.”
